Discover historic, archaeological, religious, cultural and the nature of Palestine

INTINERARY (9 days – 8 nights)

Day 1: Tel-Aviv- Jerusalem

Arrival at Tel Aviv airport or Allenby border crossings with Jordan. Welcome and transfer to hotel in Jerusalem. Diner and overnight.

Day 2: Jerusalem

After breakfast, a full walking day and visit in the old city of  Jerusalem. At the crossroads of different civilizations where you will come across remains of ancient mosaics and treasures from the Roman and Byzantine period, the Crusaders and the Ottoman Empire to name but a few. In the Old City you will encounter oriental charm and be plunged into the souk’s colorful alleys which take you to the meeting places of the three major monotheistic religions: whether along the Via Dolorosa or the Holy Sepulchre, the Dome of Rock and the Wailing Wall, you will be projected into the past. Across the Cardo: the ancient roman city to Mt Zion, discover other places of significance: Monastery of the Dormition, the cave of the Last Supper and the Tomb of King David. Free diner, ; overnight at the hotel in Jerusalem

Day 3: Bethlehem – Jerusalem

After breakfast, continue walking and  visiting Jerusalem:  visit to the Mount of Olives upon which you will come across a wonderful panoramic view of central Jerusalem. You can also visit the Sanctuary of the Ascension, the Franciscan Chapel of Dominus Flevit, the tomb of the Virgin, as well as the Basilica of all Nations, « Gethsemane » and the Church of the Pater Noster. There is a tour of Bethlehem; this pretty little town in the heart of the hills is home to the Cave of the Nativity where Jesus was born, as well as it being a city which dates back more than three thousand years with many architectural and historical treasures. A stroll through its old streets with its numerous churches and mosques and ancient relics allows you to experience the charm of a small sized town. Diner and overnight at the hotel in Bethlehem

Day 4: Bethlehem – Battir – Wadi Foukin

After breakfast, with you piste guide, the day will be spent in Just south-west of Jerusalem, amidst the hills surrounding Bethlehem and right on the fringe of the green line, sits the Palestinian village of Battir. In 2015, Battir became UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its tiered farm lands, stone-walled terraces that date back to the Roman period and a unique natural irrigation network that continues to distribute water from underground sources to the families of the village. The village was also added to the list of world heritage Sites in danger due to the project of Israeli authorities over the route of the separation barrier. The proposed route would cut right through the site, isolating farmers from the land their families have been cultivating for generations and potentially damaging the terraces and irrigation system that make Battir so special. Picnic in route, then continue walking through the green valey’s to Wadi Fukin village, meet with local people. Tour in the village and agriculture land, You will see and hear about the problems caused by the settlements and its negative impact on population, water and agriculture. Diner in the village with locale families, overnight at the hotel in Bethlehem.

Distance :12 KM. Difficulty: Easy-Moderate. Terrain: Green valley.

Day 5: Bethlehem – Jericho – Dead Sea 

After breakfast, depart for a green oasis near the Dead Sea- Jericho, you will cross the canyon of Wadi Qelt to the beautiful St. George Monastery built against the ocher cliffs of the mountain. a stunning rocky valley with many ancient cave dwellings.  Continue walking through the desert mountains until the city of Jericho. Picnic in route. Transfer to the Quarantine Mountain and have the opportunity to climb up to the summit overlooking of the city, visit the monastery and admire the panorama that extends from Jericho to the Jordan Valley and the mountains of Moab. In the afternoon, transfer to the Dead Sea which is one of the greatest wonders of the world, 400 meters below the level of the Mediterranean Sea, making it the lowest point on earth, This Sea is the richest deposit of global natural. Diner and overnight at Aqbat Jaber Guest House.

Distance : 10 KM. total walking time: 3h Difficulty : Moderate. Terrain: Rocky desert paths and canyon trails, some climbing.

Day 6: Jericho—Nabi Mousa – Mar Saba – Rashaydeh 

After breakfast, transfer to Nabi Mousa, The walk begins at Nebi Musa in the eastern Desert, exactly from Khirbet Al-Mird site, which is also called Hyrcania in Greek, and ends up at Mar Saba, the Greek Orthodox desert monastery. Continue hiking towards Mar Saba monastery. Mar Saba is among the most ancient and wondrous desert monasteries in the Holy Land. Women have not been allowed into Mar
Saba for 15 centuries, and will have to admire the monastery from afar – over its exterior
walls.You descend down the valley and then up to the monastery after resting for some time in the top, enjoying the views and atmosphere. Transfert to Rashydeh, Arrive at the Bedouin tent in the desert. In the afternoon continue the adventure through the desert mountains to the Dead Sea area by Bedouin 4×4 . Back to enjoy Bedouin dinner and hospitality, camp-fire, and a chance to count the stars in the clear sky. Overnight in the Bedouin tent.

Walking distance: 15 km. Walking time: 4 -5 hours. Difficulty: Moderate – Difficult

Day 7: Rashaydeh – HebronBethlehem 

Drive to  Hebron, the city built by the Canaanites around 4000 BC. is home to the Tomb of the Patriarchs which contains the tomb of Abraham and the mosque of the same name, part of which has now become a synagogue. The Kasbah offers visitors many surprises including the famous ancient glass factories and colorful Eastern ceramic workshops.  Transfer to Bethlehem, on route, visit Solmons pools that was built before 2000 years ago, then Irtas village to visit the Monastery.  Proceed to Dehesha camp, tour and meeting with local association. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Bethlehem.

 Day 8: : Bethlehem – Ramallah – Qalqilya – Nablous

Departure to the city of Ramallah, the place currently acting as the place of the Palestinian Authority, visit Al Mouquataa and Mahmoud Darwish museum, Continue to the town of Qalqilya where there are multiple visits and meetings planned,  discover the reality and catastrophic consequences of the Wall on the lives of people. Drive to Nablous, visit of the old cityand the Casba. Back to Bethlehem diner and overnight.

Day 9: Bethlehem – Jaffa – Tel-Aviv

After breakfast, departure to the  legendary city of Jaffa near Tel Aviv, tour in the old city, possibility to spend time at the Mediterranean beach. In the afternoon transfer to Tel Aviv airport for departure.


The order of visits can be changed.

• Small day pack to carry essentials (water, jacket, sunscreen, camera etc). You will not be backpacking during the hiking portion .
• Refillable water bottle
• Journal/notebook & pens
• A hat which adequately protects your head, face and neck from direct sun.
• Footwear: good walking/hiking shoes.
• A warm layer for evenings (lightweight jacket or pullover)
